PUZZLES
As a part of my Transmedia Puzzle Design and Performance class, we had to design a variety of puzzles across the quarter. These would incoporate of a variety of media and puzzle designs, ranging from purely interactive audio adventures akin to a tabletop role-playing game to standalone boxes that had several puzzles within (pictured above.)Â An effective puzzle requires a narrative hook, confirmation to the player, and a feeling of pride once it's complete, which is not easy to do! My final project was themed around a set of tools and objects a new train conductor's late father left him for his first day. Each smaller puzzle filled in a part of a larger message that was the father's last goodbye.
